"COSPLAY YOUR OC AS SOMEONE ELSE" CONTEST

My fall 2009 contest is "Cosplay Your OC as Someone Else" Contest as I promised back in early summer. ^^ Hope all those with OCs (Original Characters) decide to participate, and if you don't have one already, I hope you will consider creating one just for the fun of it...and the chance to win dA subscription and other goodies from the generous sponsors.

Here are the details...

THEME:
Cosplay Your Original Character as Someone Else from a TV show, anime/manga series, movie, video game(FF, Zelda, Okami, etc.), famous painting, or sculpture. This contest is NOT about you cosplaying as your OC, in case there's any confusion about it.

ACCEPTED MEDIA:
Traditional or Digital. You are to draw or paint your OC cosplaying as someone else in any style(realism, anime/manga, etc.). No photography. No literature. No photomanipulation. No 3-D work.

TIME FRAME:
Contest runs from Saturday, October 3, 2009 through Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:59 pm PST. 6 weeks.
DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2009 AT 11:59 PM PACIFIC STANDARD TIME.

***Please pay very close attention to the following.***

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Make sure to mention in your "Artist's Comments" (This is the section that appears below your image on the deviation's page.) that the piece is your entry to 's "Cosplay Your OC as Someone Else" Contest. Make sure to put my icon and the title of the contest.

2. Clearly state in your "Artist's Comments": the name(s) of your OC(s), and who they are cosplaying as (Please provide a link with a reference of some kind).

3. Send a NOTE (Do NOT send a link in a comment to my homepage or journal, please.) to *aruarian-dancer with a link to your deviation, which you are submitting as a contest entry. No need to put a thumbnail image in the note.

***IMPORTANT***
I will reject any and all submission notes that are missing "Artist's Comments" requirements or links sent to any places other than through my NOTE (dA's private message system). No explanations will be given out aside from "Your submission has been rejected. Please check contest rules and submit again.", if the note you sent is found to be incomplete or there is information missing in your submission's "Artist's Comments".

RESTRICTIONS:
*One entry per deviant.
*Open to all artists on deviantART.
*Entry piece does NOT have to be new or created specifically for this contest. If you have an artwork that fits the theme of the contest, you are allowed to enter.
*NO "mature content" as defined by dA policy.

JUDGING CRITERIA:
Originality/Creativity (40%), Execution/Technique (30%), Composition/Design (20%), and Presentation (10%).

**Judging will take place during the week immediately following the deadline, November 13, 2009. Results will be announced on or around November 21, 2009.
