Clare from anime "Claymore" done in Painter.

(Of course, if you watch the anime, you'd know.) So, this is just an "interpretation" of her "hanjin hanyou" nature.  There are sadly only 26 episodes to the anime "Claymore", which is my current favorite. Clare's drawing came out so fast it surprised me. I guess I really paid attention to the anime's details when I watched it. This was an image I wanted to draw ever since I saw the first episode. By the way, this series passed my brutal "first five minute" test by flying colors and the series did not disappoint (oh, maybe the fact it was only one season long ...) in terms of drawing quality or story. I'll definitely add the original Japanese manga series to my collection and would love to own the anime, too. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
