"Dernier Lamento" (Last Lament) -- Tradigital mixed media
I did another piece yesterday with the same experimental approach I used on "Oblivion". This time I got the inspiration for the image from both Astor Piazzolla's tango piece, "Dernier Lamento", and the Victorian death photos, the practice of photographing the recently-deceased either alone or with the loved ones left behind, dressed and posed as if they were still alive.
The black cat has a personal meaning. Anyhow, the piece is about the bond between a beloved animal and a human companion.
