"Enchanted Visions" -- line art in pen on paper, scanned image digitally colored free hand in Corel Painter on Intuos 3 tablet

The May 2012 theme of the Enchanted Visions Project was "Enchanted Visions". This is our 30th theme and the last one before we go on a summer hiatus till September. I'm glad because I have a book illustration project among other commission projects that will keep me busy through summer and probably well into fall. ^^;

This piece was inspired by the famous (Or should I say infamous?) black and white photos known as "Cottingley Fairies", where two girls made cutouts of fairies and placed them in with themselves and took photographs back in 1917. Of course they caused quite a sensation and controversy, but I do admire the girls' vision, imagination, and creativity. I wanted to make my own version of a scene where a human girl is having a magical encounter with a group of playful fairies.

I had a lot of fun with this one. For all those who still are, and will forever remain, children at heart. :heart:

I have been absent for a while and have a long back log deviations to check, so I apologize for the all of a sudden bunch of fave with no comment.
I love this one, the aura, the colours the little fairies...
I always fall in a fabulous dream when I look at your pictures!
