"Nephele (Cloud Nymph)" - pen on paper

After doing nothing but commissions for weeks this summer, I had the urge to do an entirely stippled piece for fun.

The EMG-Zine (an online magazine for fantasy and sci-fi artists and writers) is completing the publication at the end of 2012, so there is only a handful of submission opportunities left (I wish I had known about this e-zine long time ago -- I have only been submitting works for about a year...). One of the last themes posted for upcoming issues is "Greek Mythology", so I wanted to do a black and white pen drawing in the theme of "Nephele".

I don't think I have done a piece entirely in stippling before, although I have done a few pieces where I used this technique for shading. But for the cloud texture, this seemed like a good match. I had fun with it, and I'm ready to get back to the commissions for now.
