"Unless" -- line art in pen, digitally colored in Corel Painter on Intuos 3 tablet, painted for the Enchanted Visions Project's March 2012 theme, "Unless".
Although the person who gave us the EV's prompt/theme for March got the idea from "The Lorax", I decided not to stick to the environmental message in interpreting this particular theme. I decided to go with just the word "unless" and let my imagination come up with a scene from scratch.
A girl is playing with her doll, which is dressed and styled to look just like her except for the missing eye and a few other items. Some of the cats are wearing the doll's accessories -- one wearing her goggles, the other one asleep with her hat.
"You'll never look exactly like me unless we fix that left eye of yours ... or maybe I like you better this way."
