"Dragon Lore" (The Guardian) -- line art in pen on paper, digitally colored in Corel Painter on Intuos 3 tablet

2012's first piece for the Enchanted Visions Project (theme for January 2012), "Dragon Lore". I chose to go with the image of a green dragon emerging from a tattoo on a woman's back. The dragon is a much revered creature in Eastern cultures. China has an extensive list of dragon colors and their attributes. In feng shui, the green dragon is considered the bringer of good fortune, good health, and luck, and it is associated with the direction East. And of course, the Chinese New Year that's coming up is January 23 this year, and it's the Year of the Dragon.
